Hello everyone, we really hope that you are all well and staying safe and healthy during this turbulent time! We wanted to take this opportunity to thank all our lovely customers for your continued support and to let you know that we are here for all your tea needs – our service is still running uninterrupted. We also would like to share some tea photos and a couple of news items that hopefully you might find interesting and useful!
#TeaByMyWindow
One of our customers sent us some images of them enjoying one of our teas from inside their flat during quarantine in London. This gave us an idea to encourage everyone to share their photos on the theme #TeaByMyWindow to hopefully brighten up everyone’s days during this challenging time! We hope that this little creative challenge will provide a welcome distraction and an opportunity to spend some time enjoying your tea. We would like to encourage everyone to get their creative hats on, brew up their favourite tea (it doesn’t even have be one of ours, although you get bonus point if it is!) and snap some photos of your tea and your window or view in the background.
Every week we will select three best photos on this theme. If your photo is chosen, we will send you a free box of our April Discovery subscription box, worldwide delivery included. Just post your photos on Instagram or to our Facebook page, tagging our page and adding hashtags #CuriousTea and #TeaByMyWindow. Or if you prefer, you can email us your photos to contact@curioustea.com and we will post them to our Instagram account with appropriate credits.
Delivery and COVID-19 Update
We are continuing to operate as normal, however due to large volume of orders and earlier Royal Mail pick up times, please place your orders prior to 14:00 for same day dispatch. Postal services both in UK and internationally are facing an unprecedented increase in the amount of post, so please be patient in the unlikely event that your order is delayed. All our international customers should check with their local postal service in case there are reported local delays or limitations. For an updated non-exhaustive list of international service suspensions and delays, please refer to this page on Royal Mail’s website.
We are constantly monitoring and reviewing the situation around COVID-19. We are following all current government guidelines and have introduced additional measures throughout all parts of our business to ensure safety of both our customers and our staff. You can also find all current up-to-date information on our Delivery Information page.
New 2020 Harvest
We are very excited to have already received some new 2020 harvest teas from Taiwan that are available in our shop. This includes a fantastic version of Red Jade White tea that is even better than last year, with a more pronounced flavour typical of teas made from the inimitable Hong Yu ‘Red Jade’ cultivar. We are also excited to announce that we managed to secure a small amount of a new GABA Green Heart green tea. This is a brand new experimental tea made by the farmer for the first time in a very small batch. The flavours are completely unique and unlike any other green tea that we have tried!
We also have an exciting selection of 2020 harvest teas that will be arriving with us soon, both some brand new arrivals and some usual favourites. So make sure to check back the 2020 harvest page for anything new. You can also check our New Arrivals page for some new arrivals that are already available, including a line up of some new pu-erhs and white tea cakes.
As always, we love hearing from you so if there is a tea currently missing in your life that you would love us to stock, please let us know contact@curioustea.com and we will do our best to find it and make it available.
Finally we were sent some photos from China, from Long Jing in Zhejiang and from Gengma in Yunnan of some new leaf growth and the harvest that has already started in many places. We though you might find these interesting! (Click to enlarge)
