This Teas of Taiwan Gift Box contains the following Taiwanese teas:

San Xia Ming Qian Bi Luo Chun is an early spring Pre Qing Ming green tea from Sanxia District, made from a Qing Xin Gan Zi cultivar. The fine handpicked leaves produce a light liquor with a fresh herbaceous flavour. The taste is sweet and vegetal with floral notes and a clean aftertaste.

Alishan Milk Oolong is a high mountain oolong grown at an altitude of 1,200m in Alishan. It is crafted from the Jin Xuan cultivar, known for a natural subtle milky aroma, mouthfeel and taste. The soft creamy profile has floral and sweet notes with a clean and fresh aftertaste.

Four Seasons Oolong is a very floral lightly oxidised oolong from Mingjian Township in Nantou County, Taiwan. Tightly rolled leaves produce a bright light liquor with a lovely honeysuckle fragrance. The flavour profile is smooth and light, with a taste that is floral and sweet with a slightly creamy finish.

Aged 2009 Oolong Cake is an intriguing aged oolong that comes shaped in 100g cakes. The cakes were pressed in 2019 from Si Ji Chun ‘Four Seasons’ 2009 harvest aged tea. The complex and clean liquor has notes of fruits and cereals and a light, lasting mineral aftertaste.

Meishan Hong Shui Red Water Oolong is a complex high mountain tea from Taiwan. Tightly rolled dark leaves undergo multiple roasting to produce a complex and fragrant liquor. The taste is smooth and balanced with floral, sweet and toasty notes and a tangy aftertaste.

Gui Fei Oolong is an exquisite and rare high mountain oolong from Taiwan. The leaves of this ‘beauty tea’ are nibbled by little green leaf hoppers. This results in a supremely unique wild honey flavour, with sweet, floral and woody notes. Winner of a 3* Great Taste Award in 2017.

Red Jade GABA from Taiwan is a unique take on a GABA-rich tea that is made from an organically grown ‘Ruby’ or ‘Red Jade’ cultivar. Tightly rolled leaves make a medium strength liquor that is crisp and smooth, with a lingering flavour of raisins, tart fruits and a hint of mint. Winner of a 1* Great Taste Award in 2018.

San Xia Ming Qian Hong Cha is an early spring Pre Qing Ming black tea from Sanxia District, made from a Qing Xin Gan Zi cultivar. The tippy handpicked leaves produce an aromatic liquor. The taste is savoury with sweet and tangy fruity notes and a lightly tannic spicy aftertaste.
