Anhua Fu Zhuan Hei Cha

Brand new tea for 2022, full description coming shortly.

Anhua Fu Zhuan Hei Cha is a dark tea from Anhua in Hunan Province known for the presence of ‘Golden Flowers’. Grown to organic standards and loosely pressed into 500g bricks, it has a very mellow and smooth taste. The nutty and woody profile has tangy fruity notes with a clean mineral aftertaste.

Please note that these bricks contain Golden Flowers (Jin Hua), a Eurotium cristatum fungi that is specifically injected into the tea to improve flavour. As the fungus grows naturally after being injected into the tea, the amount and size of it varies from brick to brick. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that individual samples will have Golden Flowers present, although we would do our best to make sure you get a piece with some on it.

The whole bricks are approximately 500g in weight and come in our usual handy zip pouches for easy storage.

We also offer samples that are 25g in weight. While we do our best to keep the samples intact, these may contain loose leaves that separated from the main brick during breakage.

Brewing guide: 2.5g in 250ml water at 95°C for 3 minutes
