Description

Jasmine Chun Hao green tea (茉莉春毫) is a lovely jasmine scented tea from our producer in Fuding, Fujian Province. It is grown in a fully organic tea garden at an altitude of 800-900m. Hand plucked in July 2016, it was then scented with fresh jasmine blossom from Guangxi Province.

This Jasmine Chun Hao green tea is made from a cultivar called Fuding Da Bai Hao (福鼎大白毫 – Fuding Large White). This cultivar is one of the main two cultivars that is used to produce some of the best grade white teas. In this case, it is used to make this lovely scented jasmine green tea. Jasmine Chun Hao is completely hand plucked and the scenting takes place using fresh jasmine blossom, which imparts a lovely jasmine scent to this aromatic tea. After scenting the jasmine blossom is removed, with only one or two flowers left in so as not to add too much bitterness to the brewed tea.

The wiry leaves of this tea have a jasmine aroma and you can spot one or two jasmine flowers in the mix. The light green liquor produces a refreshing cup with a floral jasmine scent. The taste is smooth and balanced, without excessive astringency or dryness. There are crisp floral and grassy notes as well as a long lasting jasmine aftertaste. This Jasmine Chun Hao green tea makes for a perfect cup of tea to have with your meal.

We suggest brewing at 80°C for 2-3 minutes according to your taste. As with all good quality loose leaf teas, this tea can be brewed multiple times.
